Rinette's passion for cycling began early, influenced by her parents who are avid cyclists. She would ride to school whilst she lived in Amsterdam and it was her absolute favourite time spent with her brother. Since then she has created many adventurous memories including her bicycle, be that gravel, mountain bike or road riding.

Dealing with her mental health struggles, Rinette discovered the one thing that consistently keeps her in a positive space is to get outside. Her favourite memories include running or cycling in nature, with no real plan except to have fun and explore. Having fun is her biggest motivator. Rinette enjoys the contrast between competitive and adventure riding. She is introverted and enjoys the connection to people that cycling brings.

Rinette loves to explore, she is a keen trail runner and adventure seeker. Whether she is cycling or running, her favourite memories include the freedom to explore and have fun. She fondly recalls when she signed up for the Tanqua Karoo Bicycle race on her own, she left the comfort of being in the know and shared a great weekend of cycling and adventure with new friends.
